Folk School Joins NC Birding Trail
Mountain Region Guide Published

The Folk School is proud to announce that it is on the North Carolina Birding Trail for the Mountain Region of the state! The Mountain Region Guide was published in 2009.

The NC Birding Trail began in 2003 and it's a great resource for bird watchers from North Carolina and for visitors to the state. We display signs that say we're a birder friendly community - what that means to us is that we have birding checklists available, trail maps for visitors, and while we can't guarantee you'll see all the birds on the checklist, we'll do our best to maintain and improve the great habitats that exist here that are really "for the birds."

The Folk School offers a birding class each spring.
Resources for Birders

The Folk School is part of the NC Birding Trail, and a certified Birder-friendly Community.
