Allegheny Treenware Items Now Online in Craft Shop

Stan and Sue Jennings of Allegheny Treenware offer a variety of wooden products handmade from West Virginia hardwoods in their shop 10 miles east of Grafton, WV. All Treenware is individually hand shaped and gouged making every item unique in its own way. Strength, durability and a pleasant shape are what this husband and wife team strive for. Many sanding steps are taken to ensure a satiny smooth finish. A three-letter abbreviation is wood burned on the back of every handle to identify the wood species it’s made from along with the artists’ initials and date made. The most commonly used woods are cherry, maple, birch, beech and walnut.

Take proper care of your Treenware by handwashing and occasionally oiling it with mineral or olive oil. Buff lightly with the fine sandpaper if the spoon develops a fuzzy feeling.
