16 Aug A Letter from Aubrey, Age 10
In January, we received a very special letter in the mail.
“I want to give you $10 because I like Little Middle, and I want to keep it going,” Aubrey, age 10, wrote. One of our favorite weeks of the year, Little Middle gives children aged 7-17 the chance to discover Appalachian culture and participate in dozens of hands-on arts and crafts programs. Aubrey’s contribution demonstrated this week’s profound impact on our community’s youngest members. To say we were touched is an understatement.
As with most of our programming and special events, your support makes this class week possible. We always say that every donation counts, that no amount is too small–and Aubrey’s contribution is no different.
Watch our video above to hear from Aubrey directly. We hope you’ll consider donating to the Folk School and, as Aubrey wrote, help us “go do good.”
